Why an Oil Fired Boiler should be Serviced

FOR THE BOILER

Boiler Manufacturers recommend that their boilers are serviced once a year

To check that the boiler has been installed correctly in line with Manufacturers Instructions

To keep the Boiler operating efficiently

The inside of a Boiler needs to be cleaned at regular service intervals

Oil Nozzles need to be replaced at regular service intervals

Flexible Fuel Lines need to be replaced at regular service intervals

Oil Tanks need to be checked for water to prevent damage to Oil Burner

Boilers that are not serviced are at a greater risk of breaking down

Prevent poor combustion that results in high levels of the poisonous gas Carbon Monoxide

Oil Storage Tanks and Oil Supply Pipes need to be inspected for damage and leaks

Analysis of Combustion Gases using a calibrated Flue Gas Analyser is the only accepted method of ensuring the Oil Burner is adjusted correctly

FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Oil Storage Tanks and Oil Supply Pipes need to be inspected for fuel leaks that could cause damage to the environment, property, or water systems

Boilers set to Manufacturer’s Instructions operate efficiently. They burn less fuel and produce less Carbon Dioxide
